I have been a practicing School Psychologist in Washington State since 1995, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) since 1998. Throughout my career, I have worked with children from birth to age 21 across rural and urban areas in Eastern and Western Washington. I have worked with families and children with a wide range of special needs by supporting programs in neighborhood schools, regional special education programs, specialty school placements, and Transition Programs (ages 18-21).
In addition to my ongoing certification as a School Psychologist, I have served in many different roles: Autism Support Specialist in a joint project with the University of Washington; Early Childhood Program Specialist; Early Intervention Transition Specialist; and a Psychometrist with a private Neurodevelopmental Psychology Clinic.
I currently work as a School Psychologist in Issaquah School District and an Adjunct Instructor for Seattle University's College of Education (Special Education Endorsement Program). I continue my work with ISD as a Crisis De-Escalation Instructor (Right Response), training staff working with students ages 3-21. My husband and I have three sons, born and raised in the Great Pacific Northwest. Fun fact: In June 2018, we celebrated Kindergarten-Graduation & High School Graduation on the same day!
MISSION As a School Psychologist, my mission is to support strong connections between families, students, and staff, creating space for all individuals to thrive in an inclusive world. By working collaboratively with a wide range of Professional Learning Communities, my purpose is to build awareness and opportunities for growth in tolerance, acceptance, and inclusion. All participate, and all belong.
